The Unity Sand Ceremony
A sand ceremony is a beautiful & meaningful addition to any wedding ceremony. Particularly appropriate for outdoor ceremonies where a unity candle may not work, this unique way to express the bride and groom's union has become a hot wedding trend. Couples have been using sand to symbolize unity for many years but with our Sand Ceremony Set you now have a way to use the beauty of sand ceremony with elegant engraved vases and unique sand colors.
1) The Groom will commence by pouring a portion of the black sand into the central glass vase.
2) The Bride will follow by pouring a portion of the white sand also into the central vase creating a layered effect.
3) To complete the ceremony, the Groom and Bride simultaneously pour the balance of their sand into the central container.
4) Following the wedding, the two outside vases can be used to display fresh flowers while the central vase will remain a cherished keepsake of your wedding day.
A popular option to Invite your children to take part in the ceremony. Allow each child to choose a color of sand and pour it from a miniature nesting vase after step 2 from above. Small nesting vases also available here!

Bride's name and Groom's name today you join your two individual lives together as one. These two separate containers of sand represent not only your separate lives, families & friends but also your own unique self and soul. They represent all that you are and all that you will ever be as a single individual. They also represent your lives today, before this moment of unity. As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container you are symbolically joining your lives. Two lives complete and lovely before now will be joined to form a larger, stronger and more lovely union. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated again so to will you be joined in love, unity and marriage.
